My husband and I enjoyed a short break at this boutique hotel in central Manchester in June 2025. Ideally located - a quiet street with v little noise but only a 5 minute walk away from bustling bars, shops and restaurants. We enjoyed breakfast and room service within the hotel itself with a great choice offered for both. I visited their spa which is based in the adjoining building. I enjoyed a blissful massage and as a guest of the hotel was then able to stay and enjoy the other communal facilities of the spa on a complimentary basis. What probably sets this hotel apart from other boutique hotels in the area is their lovely rooftop infinity pool. With great views and open air (during the warm weather) it felt really special. Being a converted Georgian building there is only one lift (elevator) which is small. This is often in use by the hotel’s staff (housekeeping etc) so you may have to wait a little while. No parking on site but discounted parking a short walk away. The staff were really warm and friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

A lovely night’s stay in a ‘comfy’ room. Really big bed, stylish decor, robes/slippers ,coffee machine, teas ,well stocked minibar. Spa was a relaxing way to spend the next morning after a delicious breakfast. Thoroughly enjoyable entertainment in the Tavern with a violinist playing. A special mention to the extremely friendly and helpful staff, nothing seemed too much trouble.A particular mention to the porter Tom for excellent service and to the lovely Lizzy on reception who ‘saved the day’ by helping me retrieve my concert tickets! Assets to the establishment.

I’ve wanted to visit this hotel for quite a while and after finally staying.. I’m left somewhat disappointed. Don’t get me wrong, the hotel is amazing. However there’s just so much wrong with the hotel that it dampens the mood of the place for me. So let’s start with the reception, absolutely fantastic and couldn’t fault the receptionists whatsoever. The decor of the entry is amazing and just beautiful, the tavern downstairs also has beautiful decor and it’s really quite relaxing until… The tavern isn’t just used by hotel guests, it’s for everybody it seems, it gets super busy and there isn’t a lot of waiters around to attend to your orders (took over an hour to get the bill) the food and drinks however are delicious. As well as the tavern not just being for guests, the hotel itself isn’t just for guests either because events are held on the terrace. There is only one elevator leading to the upstairs and it isn’t just for guests and the elevator only has a capacity of 4 or 5 max so trying to get to your room if you don’t want to take the stairs can take a while. (It is also very awkward going up the elevator to the pool in your robe with random drunk strangers coming out or in the terrace) The room looked absolutely beautiful. The room was in fact beautiful. Bed with a bath in front of it and being able to watch the tv whilst inside of it is quite genius. The bathroom was absolutely stunning also. But now down to the rest of the room. The TV’s were really small and outdated. They aren’t even smart TV’s so you can’t watch movies, ETC. It just has a really old sky remote. The minibar doesn’t even have hot chocolates, the snack selection is shocking. There is only one sized robe so if you don’t fit in it, you’re screwed. The bathroom shower doesn’t even have a door on it, the bathroom door didn’t even shut correctly, there’s no door between the bedroom and the other room, there’s no lock on the bathroom door, I could go on and on. As a whole it just feels very outdated and un-thought about. For the price, id just expect way better. Let’s get to the main attraction, the pool is absolutely worth it, the thing this hotel is known for… it’s worth it. It lives up to the hype in that sense, the jets are absolutely spectacular, the view and the cold air with the hot water is just the perfect combo. I would expect again for there to be lockers upstairs just in case anybody was to swipe your phone or cars in your robe, another oversight which I don’t think they’ve thought about. To end, I would say the sleep is the best part also, the bed in my room was a dream, ultimate relaxation.

My partner and I recently had afternoon tea at King Street Townhouse Hotel. (We didn't stay overnight so cannot comment on the accommodation) Our experience was exceptionally positive. The staff were friendly and helpful. One gentleman in particular served us and gave us great advice on tea choices. We opted for the Marsala Chai but he reassured us that he would swap it if we didn't like it. We did though, it was lovely! The food served was delicious, the service was friendly, efficient and informative. At no point were we pressured into buy anything extra. This was a real treat, would definitely recommend

Booked a "snug" room for the night, expecting a very small room. It was actually very spacy. Bed was massive and very comfy, nice bathroom facilities. It was a nice touch having a fully stocked mini fridge with a variety of drinks, and a drawer with some snacks that you could use for a fee. We booked a dinner in the restaurant which was nice, really nice atmosphere, service was pretty slow, there was only one person on, but there were only two or three tables in. Food was good quality. Great location, right in the centre of Manchster, very close to lots of bars (Flight Club/All Bar One etc.) We used the spa facilities in the morning after check out, we were a bit disappointed that the spa didn't sit alongside the roof top pool, its next door, so we missed the pool. Overall really nice experience, would return.

A wonderful treat staying at this elegant, clubhouse-style hotel. The room is very well styled, and has everything you need, including a perfect bathroom. The staff are very helpful and we had a lovely birthday platter waiting for us in our room on check-in - a really nice surprise. The rooftop pool is a perfect place to start your day at 7am, and the steam room and relaxation area is fantastic. It's a perfect location and a calm place to stay. I would highly recommend.

Stayed in the ESPA suite at this boutique hotel. The hotel is in a great location for exploring Manchester. It has a spa attached which is very nice and was quite, as was the rooftop infinity pool. The room was comfortable, small and warm although the shower on full did seem to lead to a lot of water escaping under the door! Breakfast was very good and the restaurant and bar staff were excellent.
